The he last saw plenty of plaudits on the way Palace fought back from a disastrous start to the season with Pulis winning manager of the year, the fans credited with the best support in the Premier and finishing it with arguably the game of the season with the 3 goal comeback against Liverpool that left Suarez sinking his teeth deep into his shirt as he left the Selhurst pitch aware that his team mates and he had just thrown away, in those last 10 minutes of the game, the best chance of winning the league Liverpool have had in over 20 years.

While Jedinak captained Australia in Brazil 12 other players left Selhurst never to return. These include first teamers Parr, KG, Moxey & Gabbidon. The club have managed to sign Chamack on perminent contract after his year long loan of last season. Frazier Campbell from Cardiff & Brede Hangeland from Fulham are the other main signings so far with a total outlay of less than a million euro. 3 or 4 more players are likely to be signed before, or on the the day, the end of the transfer window.

A slightly strange pre season has seen mixed results. This has included a 13-1 destruction of Austrian side Gak Gaz followed by a US tour playing MLS sides, Columbos Crew & Philidelphia Union as well as second tier side Richmond Kickers. Two wins and 1 draw was the outcome of the tour. The only first team friendly played in England was a defeat to Championship side Brentford who won 3-2. Our final friendly before the start of the season is against Augsburg this Saturday which should give us a clue of how we might line up against Arsenal on the opening day.

Very long shot to avoid relegation this year…
With just over a day before the start of the new season there’s not much to report. We’ve signed the defender Martin Kelly from Liver pool for £1.5 million only for Tony Pulis to walk out of the club after a disagreement with co-chairman Steve Parish about player signings.
It’s never #€$ש#× boring following the Palace.

I am inclined to agree with the article; I did not understand this move of his either.
Ah bollox ! I wrote a article size response about my thought’s on Pulls leaving which basically said that the Parish & Pulis both wanted to control the massive transfer budget and that neither can compromise being the types of personalities that both are.
I finished saying that the one thing that Palace can rely on is the fans who will vocally push the team on starting today v Arsenal at 5.15 (UK time).

After all the stresses of the last few days a positive performance from Palace who went into the lead before Arsenal equalised at the very end of the first half. Palace should of got a well deserved draw but the combination of Puncheon being sent off and some sloppy defending gave Arsenal a late victory during injury time.
No news on replacing Pulis but a new manager could well be in place before next weeks game at home to West Ham.
I watched the game and I’d say it’s more than a positive performance!

I see that Malky MacKay is the favourite with the bookies for taking over. How do you guys feel about that?

Malky would fit in well with his style of play and also knows several of the players & staff at Palace.
The other current favourite is Tim Sherwood who I really don’t rate and would fear almost certain relegation if he came to SE25.
Parish said he was looking for a manager who is well experienced with the Premier League so I’m expecting Alex Ferguson to become our next manager. 
Looks like Malky Mackay is Red & Blue. If not excited, I’m very happy with this as I feel he will play to the teams strength’s.
And now what? What an eventful end of the summer for Palace!
Not a good start for Palace with Two losses
I’ve been away for a few days so not really clued up. From the little that I have heard an announcement should be made in the next few days and the current favourite for the job is ex Palace manager Neil Warnock. Many will see this as a step back and will split an already anxious fan base. For those reasons alone I hope that the club isn’t seriously considering Warnock other than a possible role as a some kind of caretaker manager.
